ENTHUSIASM FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
Our guiding principle at Pluimveeslachterij C. van Miert bv is the effective and sustainable management of natural resources at each stage of our value chain.
We aim for energy efficiency self-sufficiency and environmental footprint reduction through investments in energy cogeneration, packaging recycling, or the establishment of a WWTP.
In addition to the heat recovery system in the incubator, which improves the plant’s thermal efficiency, biomass boilers are installed on the farms and in the incubator to reduce emissions of pollutants.
In order to minimize the amount of water we use during production and to have our own treatment plant, we are always searching for new technological innovations. As a result, we employ high-quality water in our procedures to ensure the safety of our products.
In close cooperation with ECOEMBES, we also carry out the significant daily task of recycling packaging, scrupulously according to Law 11/97 on packaging and packaging waste.
